- Black dog collar with iridescent white rhinestones
5 rhinestones on each side. Black leather; buckles in back - Each rhinestone is centered in a little sunburst-shaped gold frame, making it look as if the stone is surrounded by 8 tiny gold studs (paint in with puffy paint).
- In the front, there is a gold ring (like for a piercing) attached to a spherical gold stud the same size as the rhinestones. It too is surrounded by a sunburst-shaped frame. (You can't see the frame in the poster magazines; look when she's screaming as Eddie is killed (the second "NOOO!" panel in the Movie Novel).)
- There is a line of stitching at the edge of the collar, above and below the rhinestones.
-
Sequined bustier
Fastens up the back with hooks and eyes. If you're looking for something to cover and are having trouble finding a bustier, you might want to try a long-line bra or a Merry Widow corset. Either should run you $30-$40 or so. - Flat sequins, not cup sequins. Buy multicolored sequin material in strips and sew on. Sequins are red, green, silver, blue, and gold, and are attached to a black bustier with white lining. If you buy cup sequins, stitch them so the cups are facing out. If you sew the sequins so the cups face down into the material, the bustier tends to look like smooth like armor.
- Do not sequin the cups of the bustier (the bust) separately from the rest of the bustier; the bustier should look like it is all made of one piece of sequined material. For the same reason, if you use string sequins, don't just line them up. If you use individual sequins, be careful not to overlap them too much or your bustier will have no give and will look like it's covered in scales.
- Both top and bottom of the bustier are edged with black fabric/bias tape. Keeps the sequins from scratching.
- The bustier is boned; the strips of boning are covered with black casing which is stitched to the white lining. You could also cover a tank top (bone it for support) or a long-line bra. The top comes to a point above each breast, and the waist dips to a point in the middle.

Black satin shorts with ribbon stripes
- The easiest way to get a good large photo of the stripes is to buy Poster Magazine Vol 1 No. 2. Unfortunately, the large photo only shows the right front of the shorts.
- Ribbons are metallic (try lamé). DO hem them under instead of leaving raw edges; lamé will fray in a second. DO NOT just glue the ribbons on except possibly as a temporary measure; sew them down or they will come off.
- The legs are turned up once to form a cuff. There is a gap between the cuffs at the side seam; this can be clearly seen on the July 1995 Mick Rock calendar. This means that there is a V-shaped notch at the side seam; the two edges of the cuffs have not been sewn together.
- There is a pointed patch pocket (like on a pair of jeans) on each cheek, and 2 jeans-style "pork chop" front cutaway pockets. Both pockets and the cuffs have ribbon stripes, too, and they don't match the ribbons on the shorts.
- Becky Milanio (of Indecent Exposure) says that if you make the shorts, lay out the shorts pattern, sew on the stripes and then make the shorts. Jen White adds that if you sew ribbons on a pair of shorts, picking a pair of shorts which are already striped will help you get them straight. The ribbons are different widths and are not evenly spaced! Here is the approximate order (note: the picture of her with Frank in the Nell poster magazine (#1) is a mirror image!):
Right cheek:
Right cheek; click to enlarge
- Ribbons:
The order of the ribbons on her right buttock is (working outwards from crotch over her butt to her hip): red (on inside thigh), orange, red, dark blue, gold, green, (big space), red, thin blue, gold, SIDE SEAM, orange (the gold and orange stripes actually meet at the side seam; the orange is the first stripe on the right front pocket). -
Patch Pocket
Sewed over the red, blue, and green strips. Ribbons on the pocket are (working the same direction, left to right, crotch to hip): thin dark blue, thin green, orange (between the blue and green strips on the shorts), and gold (above the green ribbon on the shorts). -
Cuffs:
Again, working left to right from crotch to hip: The cuff has a red ribbon below the red strip; a blue ribbon under the orange one; a green one below the pocket's blue ribbon; an orange ribbon between and below the main body blue and gold ribbons; a gold ribbon below the gold ribbon on the pocket, a green ribbon below the pocket's green one; an orange ribbon below the pocket's orange one; a gold ribbon, a blue ribbon; (notch is here, with gold and orange ribbons on the shorts visible through it).
Left cheek:
- Ribbons:
On Columbia's left cheek, the order of ribbons, working out from her crotch over her butt to her left hip, is: red on the inner thigh, narrow green, gold, dark blue, green, orange, red, orange, blue, green, gold. The gold ribbon is even with Columbia's left hip. -
Patch Pocket
Placed above the green, orange and red ribbons. It has (crotch to hip, working right to left): red ribbon, gold ribbon (above the orange), green ribbon (above the red), and narrow blue ribbon. -
Cuffs:
Again, working right to left from the crotch to her left hip: There is a green ribbon below and to the right of the red ribbon on the inner thigh, blue below and to the left of the narrow green ribbon, orange below and to the left of the gold ribbon; a red ribbon ribbon below the green ribbon (and the red ribbon on the pocket); a gold ribbon below the gold pocket ribbon, a green ribbon below and to the left of the red ribbon; and a red ribbon below the orange, blue and gold ribbons.
Left leg (front):
-
Ribbons:
On the front of the shorts, the order on the left leg is (from crotch to hip, left to right as you're looking at Columbia): red, green, orange, green, red, blue, red, and gold. This gold ribbon is the same one that is on Columbia's left hip. -
Cutaway Front Pocket (inside layer)
Again, left to right, from crotch to hip: starts above the red, blue and red ribbons; on this pocket are a red stripe, a gold one, and then a blue one. -
Cuffs:
There is a green cuff ribbon below and to the left of the red one, a gold cuff ribbon beneath the orange strip, a blue cuff ribbon between and below the orange and green shorts strips, an orange/red? one between the first red and blue ribbon, a gold ribbon below and between the blue ribbon and the second red one, and a blue cuff ribbon below and to the right of the red one.
Right leg (front):

On Columbia's right leg, there is a gold ribbon on her inner thigh, then proceeding from the crotch to her right hip, green, orange, blue, (big space) red, thin green, gold, (big space), green, (big space), orange, SIDE SEAM.
-
Cutaway Front Pocket (inside layer)
Again, going from front to hip. Pocket starts above the gold, green and orange ribbons. From right to left (crotch to her right hip): There is a blue ribbon between and above the orange and red shorts ribbons, a green ribbon above the gold one, a blue ribbon above the green one and a red ribbon above the orange one. SIDE SEAM. -
Cuffs:
Cuff colors are (again, from crotch to hip): red below the first green ribbon, gold beneath the orange one, green to the left and below the first blue one, orange under the next green one, blue ribbon below and between the gold and green main body ribbons, red, SIDE SEAM.
Floorshow:
- Sequined black front-lace corset
Laces tie at the bottom (EXCEPT for Columbia). Black eyelets. Put a zipper in back to get in and out faster. The women's corsets are 13-eyelet corsets, (note from Mina - the men's have 16). Columbia's corset appears to be a 14-panel corset, with 6 strips of boning on each side. There aren't enough closeups of the others to be sure that they all are. Corsets fasten up the back with hooks (quite clear on Columbia; you can also see the gleam of them during Brad's solo). White lining is visible on Rocky's corset (note from Mina - this is COUTIL, the strength layer of corsets).
Sequins decorate both the top and bottom of the corset along the edges, with little dripping stalactites (from the top) and stalagmites (from the bottom). Janet's corset has more sequins along the bottom than coming down from the top, at least in front. The sequins are sparse on the sides; on the front and back of the corset the sequins are more closely spaced (but still show plenty of black space), spangled in a rough "dripping" hourglass shape, with the most sequins at the top and bottom, with very few, very spread out in the middle. Don't overdo it; a solid spool-shaped pattern of sequins on the front of a black corset looks very silly
